The center initiated more than 190 public discussions, on issues of local and national importance. Meetings mainly cover significant issues of the region including agriculture, social, healthcare, infrastructure, family violence, ethnic minority integration and human rights. Priority of the center is promoting the participation in decision-making processes and raise citizen involvement.

Akhaltsikhe Center successfully cooperates with the regional and national public institutions. Should be emphasized cooperation with the Samtskhe-Javakheti Legal Aid Bureau; the Center together with the Bureau organizes meetings for teenagers, students and teachers on “Prevention of crime of juveniles”, which is the essential element of Juvenile Justice.

Akhaltsikhe Center advocates people with disabilities as well. During one of the meetings people with disabilities expressed their wish to take part in construction process of the local city park. As a result of the negotiation between local government and people with disabilities, the most part of the park was adapted.

Akhaltsikhe Center since 2012, before, during and after elections, along with other NCCE offices nation-wide, functions as a media center and provides a safe and neutral facility for debates and briefings for all stakeholders.  NCCE offices provide non-partisan hubs for political unions, CSO representatives, election administration, the local population, and others in order to enable voters to make an informed decision. The center especially actively works for ethnic minorities and youth who take part in elections for the first time.
